Vina’s First LitterVina’s first litter was born this morning (Sunday, December 2nd, 2007)! All appear healthy, are beautiful, and squeaky! Vina is a black and white (tri-color) Icelandic Sheepdog, and the father is Cosmo, our male Icelandic Sheepdog. Cosmo is grey, brown and white but all the puppies born today are black and white. The first puppy, below, is a male and was born at 1:04am. We’ve named him “Balti”, which is Icelandic for “Bear”.
The second puppy is the only female in the litter, and was born at 1:15am. Her name is Lily (or “Lilja” in Icelandic), and she’s named after her grandmother (Vina’s mother, from the Brekkubruns kennel).
The third Icelandic Sheepdog puppy was born at 1:53am (male). His name is Comet.
The last puppy was born at 2:25am and has a black body, white head with one white ear (male). He has been named Murphy.
